Your Money

The Inlet District, under the chairmanship of my opponent, has stolen $5 million of your dollars. The money was raised for a lawsuit, of which the District spent $5 Million less than they raised, and rather than returning the money – it was spent. I promise to get your money back.

Furthermore, I will be an ever-vigilant watchdog for spending in the District. No longer will the Inlet spend thousands of dollars on extravagant PCs or tens of thousands of dollars on unnecessary photography. Tough times call for tough measures and its time the Inlet District realized this.

Transparency

The Sebastian Inlet District is very secretive about their activities. They no longer post their budget online and very few residents attend their meetings. I will work to increase the transparency of this organization so that it may be more accountable to the residents of the District.

Economic Activity

The Sebastian Inlet was originally dug to increase the economic activity in the communities along the Indian River. I will once again focus on this goal and find ways to increase business in Brevard and Indian River counties.

Environment and Research

The Sebastian Inlet is an environmental gold mine. This location is considered one of the premier fishing locations on the east coast. It is also the location where America’s most diverse estuary ecosystems, the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, meet. I will continue the good work done to protect the Sebastian Inlet and encourage continuing research into the ecology of the region.
